The Chicago Park District Announces Registration for 2022 Summer Programming and Summer Day Camps – Chicago Park District

View summer program offerings now; Online registration begins May 9 and May 10
The Chicago Park District is launching online registration for 2022 Summer Day Camp and Summer Park Programs starting on May 9 at 9 a.m. Summer Day Camp will run for six weeks, from July 5 to August 12, and park programs will start the week of June 20, and run through August 21. 
“We look forward to welcoming everyone into the parks this summer,” said Rosa Escareño, Interim General Superintendent and CEO of the Chicago Park District. “Our staff are excited to connect with our patrons and campers through engaging, fun, safe, and inclusive activities.” 
This summer, the “Adventure Starts Here” at the Chicago Park District. Tailored by age group, Summer Day Camp will allow campers to explore a variety of fun filled activities of nature, sports, health and fitness, culture, arts, and brain play. The camp journey will allow for physical, social and enrichment activities that support positive social interaction, inclusion, wellness, and personal development.
Summer Day Camps for children, ages 6 to 12 years old, are available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Play Camps for ages 3 to 5 years old and Teen Camps for ages 13 to 17 years old are available for younger and older audiences. We also will be offering Special Recreation Camps, Sports Camps, and Specialty Camps. 
Fees for camps vary depending on location, offerings and hours. We maintain our commitment to put children first and not turn away anyone for inability to pay. Financial assistance is available. 
Given the popularity of programs, patrons are encouraged to browse through the list of available park programs, which are now available to view, and create a wish list before the start of registration. 
Summer online registration at www.ChicagoParkDistrict.com is as follows:
⦁    Parks located West of California Avenue and all our virtual programs will begin registration Monday, May 9 at 9 a.m.  
⦁    Parks located East of California Avenue will begin registration Tuesday, May 10 at 9 a.m.   
⦁    Gymnastics centers will begin registration Tuesday, May 10 at 12 p.m.
Dependent on the number of program spots remaining, in-person registration will begin Saturday, May 14. 
Online registration for park programs at McFetridge Sports Center, Morgan Park Sports Center, Addams Park, and Gately Park begins on Tuesday, May 31, followed by in-person registration on Saturday, June 4. Programs at these facilities run from June 13 to August 21. View programs hosted in at these facilities starting on Tuesday, May 17. 
In addition to in-person summer programs, the Park District will continue to offer virtual programs for the public to enjoy from home. These programs include arts and crafts, games, and fitness programs. Our patrons are looking forward to online Ballet Conditioning, Ceramics, Dance, Crafter’s Club, Family Trivia Nights, and more.
