Friday Night SmackDown dips from previous week, places second among network programming – POST Wrestling

Friday Night SmackDown experienced a dip from the prior week with the show still topping two million viewers for the third consecutive week.
The July 1st edition of the show from Phoenix averaged 2,142,000 viewers and approximately 639,000 (0.49) in the 18-49 demographic on Fox, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

The show dropped four percent in viewers and 7.5 percent among adults 18-49 with SmackDown finishing second among network programming on Friday. It was the show’s lowest numbers since June 10th, which aired against the NBA Finals.
In adults 18-34, the show increased by three percent while adults 35-49 declined by 36 percent.
For the month of June, SmackDown averaged 2,123,000 viewers and 664,000 in 18-49 with three of the five episodes airing against the NBA or NHL playoffs.
In Canada, the program averaged 130,600 viewers and 62,600 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360, which were increases of 6 and 36 percent respectively from the prior week.
The show aired on the eve of Money in the Bank and featured a fatal four-way for a spot in the men’s Money in the Bank match and a six-woman tag involving the women’s MITB participants.
