Connecting for Kids programming is returning to Euclid this September.
Connecting for KidsĀ provides education and support to families with concerns about their child. The organization, which serves all families, including those children with and without formal diagnoses, offers educational programs, support groups, a Parent Match Program and numerous resources, according to a news release.
“Music Therapy & More” will take place at 6:30 p.m., Sept. 22, at Euclid Public Library, 631 E. 222nd St. This program is designed for families and their children, ages 0 – 6 years, who are struggling in an area of development, according to a news release.
Those interested are invited to take part in a hands-on program designed to teach families how to use music to improve their child’s academic, motor, communication and social skills as well as behavior. This program is led by a board-certified music therapist, the release stated.
Also, at 7 p.m., Sept. 29, a “LGBTQ+ Caregiver Connect” virtual share and support group will take place.
Kristen Pepera and Lisa Pepera of Colors+ will lead a discussion where families can learn, connect and find resources to better support and affirm their child. Caregivers of a child who is gender questioning, expansive or LGBTQ+ are invited to join the interactive caregiver support group to meet and connect with other families.
Registration is required for these programs at www.connectingforkids.org/register, or emailĀ info@connectingforkids.org or call/text 440-570-5908 or, for Spansih, 440-907-9130.
