Classical IPR programming changes happening in June 2022 – Interlochen

New programs and encores of favorite programs are coming to Classical IPR this month.
As always, we make these changes in response to feedback from listeners about what they enjoy and what they want to hear more or less of.
Starting this weekend, enjoy an encore broadcast of Music by Request on Sundays starting at noon. This program has been a Saturday morning staple for decades, so we have added a second airing of it on Sunday afternoon.
We have also added an encore broadcast of From the Top to our weekly broadcast. Hear it Fridays at 5 p.m. and Saturdays at noon.
Two new programs are joining the Classical IPR broadcast lineup on Saturdays.
Every Saturday at 1 p.m. until December, the WFMT Opera Series broadcasts recent performances of new and classic operas from around the world. This program presents full-length operas during the Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast’s off-season.
We are also adding the two-hour program Folk Alley Saturdays at 6 p.m. Hosted by Elena See, the program features classic and new folk, roots, blues, bluegrass and Americana recordings.
View IPR’s program schedule by day or by week here.
We thank our listeners for their feedback, and we welcome your continued comments about our programming.
Email IPR’s music director Amanda Sewell at amanda.sewell@interlochen.org or call her at (231) 276-4443.
